Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Taylor, MI (Fully Onsite)
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a growing organization in Taylor, MI. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Vice President of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR compliance, employee relations, and team management, with familiarity in DOT-regulated environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding across multiple business units, including DOT-regulated transportation roles

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures

  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee documentation

  • Handle conflict resolution, investigations, coaching, and disciplinary actions

  • Supervise an HR team of three (Payroll/Benefits Coordinator, Driver Recruiter, Safety & Compliance Manager)

  • Plan and manage employee engagement activities and company events

  • Attend and support union grievance meetings and arbitrations as needed

  • Administer FMLA, medical leaves, and workers' compensation processes

Qualifications:

  • 2–5+ years of Human Resources Management experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation industry compliance

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Familiarity with employment law, FMLA, and HR compliance standards

  • Experience in employee relations, HR metrics, and recruitment strategies
