Inventory Engineering Technician L2-L3
Hillsboro, Oregon
Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm
Pay Starts: $22/hr + DOE 
Benefits + Paid Time Off


Job Overview & Qualifications:

  • Must have Inventory Control experience & MS Excel tracking. Application database a plus.
  • Packing and Shipping experience.
  • PC and OS literate. Installing Win/Linux, swapping/installing CPUs, heatsinks and other components.
  • Likes gaming and content creation.
  • Positive can-do attitude.
  • Professional and reliable work ethic.
  • Report status to the manager on a regular basis.
  • Work at your own pace in a lab environment as well as contribute collaboratively in an open CCG team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

Technician Level I Skills and Duties:
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment, routine lab maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Assist team with assembly of prototypes and POC HW.
  • Execute simpler standardized/turnkey.
  • Benchmark type testing.
  • Assist with operations hardware requests - Such as providing demo equipment for keynote presentations and/or tradeshow events. Receive and track inventory of Lab hardware/software. Inventory scope to include but is not limited to: Maintaining demo and test inventory resources, such as desktops, servers, laptops, networking equipment and other miscellaneous computing and/or collateral equipment.
  • Other miscellaneous administrative tasks such as shipping and lab management activities.

Technician Level II - All Level I abilities PLUS the below additions:
  • Assist team with assembly, verify and test of prototypes and POC HW.
  • Gather performance proof point data to highlight CPU relevance by executing documented test procedures and recording test results in standardized file formats.
  • From documented request, test new hardware for purchase considerations. Communicate with Marketing Demo Team, features, and capabilities performance of new products.
  • Ability to execute routine and detailed test procedures from written or verbal direction.
  • Using supplied documentation, work with internal early reference validation platforms.
  • Able to successfully remove and replace standard components and add on cards.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects efficiently.
  • Loading basic Windows and Linux operating systems, install assigned drivers and load standard applications.
  • Understanding of PC user experience.

Technician Level III – All level II abilities PLUS the below additions:
  • Assist team with prototype and POC HW build definition.
  • Gather performance proof point data to highlight CPU relevance by executing routine to unique test requests and accurately record and/or prepare test results for local or remote data analysis.
  • Ad-Hoc testing and evaluation of new hardware for purchase considerations. Continuous communication with Marketing Demo Team, documenting features and capabilities desired in the new products.
  • Ability to execute complex, detailed test procedures with just enough input from engineering.
  • Locate and interpret pertinent documentation to enable working with a variety of non-standard internal prototypes, external supplier prototype and internal early reference validation platforms.
  • Hands-on builder reliably able to remove, modify and assemble PC hardware components (build your own PC).
  • Work with product Technical Marketing Engineers to develop new usage model concepts for performance notebooks in gaming, streaming, content creation, VR, and Esport segment.
  • Executes job requests with little to no supervision.
  • Customize Windows and Linux operating systems, define, find, and install assigned drivers, load and customize new and standard applications.
  • Familiarity with remote PC access and operation – tools and techniques.
  • Experienced with Creative software including Adobe photo and video software, Cad and Rendering tools.
