L3 Engineering Technician
Hillsboro, Oregon
Mon – Fri 8am -5pm
Pay: $27/hr

Technician Level III – Skills and Duties
All Technician Level I & II abilities PLUS the below additions or enhancements:
- Maintain a clean and safe lab environment, including routine lab maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, inventory tracking of lab hardware/software, demo/test assets (desktops, servers, laptops, networking equipment, collateral), shipping, and general lab management activities. Support operations hardware requests, including demo equipment for keynotes and tradeshow events.
- Assist team with prototype and POC HW build definition, including assembly, verification, testing, modification, and component replacement of standard and non-standard systems and add-on cards.
- Gather performance proof point data to highlight CPU relevance by executing routine to unique and complex test requests; accurately record, document, and prepare results in standardized formats for local or remote data analysis.
- Perform benchmark, documented, ad-hoc, and purchase-evaluation testing of new hardware; continuously communicate with Marketing Demo Team to document features, capabilities, and performance characteristics of new products.
- Ability to execute complex, detailed test procedures from written or verbal direction with minimal engineering input; locate and interpret pertinent documentation to work with internal early reference validation platforms, non-standard internal prototypes, and external supplier prototypes.
- Hands-on builder reliably able to remove, modify, replace, and assemble PC hardware components; manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently and execute job requests with little to no supervision.
- Customize Windows and Linux operating systems, define and install assigned drivers, load and customize standard and new applications; demonstrate strong understanding of PC user experience and platform performance positioning.
- Familiarity with remote PC access tools and techniques.
- Work with Product Technical Marketing Engineers to develop new usage model concepts for performance notebooks in gaming, streaming, content creation, VR, and Esport segments.
- Experienced with creative software including Adobe photo and video applications, CAD, and rendering tools.
Key Qualifications:
- Familiarity with desktop/laptops.
- Content creation applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and gaming (Steam) are a big plus.
