Job Title: Lighter Assembly Operator – 3rd Shift
Location: Milford, CT
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM
Hourly Rate: $26.51/hr
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Lighter Assembly Operator to join our 3rd shift team in Milford, CT. The ideal candidate will operate automated production machines, maintain product quality, and ensure efficient production in a team-oriented environment while adhering to all safety and procedural standards.
Essential Job Functions:The essential functions listed are illustrative and may evolve with operational needs.

Operate two (2) automated production machines safely and according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training.

Supply machines with components and materials to maintain continuous operations and meet shift-end production requirements.

Complete product changeovers efficiently and within required timelines.

Troubleshoot and address machine stoppages promptly; collaborate with mechanics for repair as needed.

Perform hourly quality checks to meet standards and maintain required documentation, including shift reports.

Conduct precision quality inspections using microscopes and precision indicators.

Utilize basic hand tools to ensure efficient machine operation.

Maintain traceability of all components and finished products through accurate paperwork.

Perform general and scheduled housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Perform similar or related work as assigned to support production, safety, and operational goals.
Education, Training, and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience operating high-speed, automated production machinery in a safe working environment.

Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. repetitively and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per shift.
Special Requirements:

Must qualify within the department on current and future machine configurations.

Shift flexibility is required.

Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively in a team setting.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedural and verbal instructions.

Effective communication skills across departments to support production, maintenance, and materials needs.

Maintain satisfactory records of safety, quality, performance, and attendance with no current written disciplinary actions.

Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Ability to work safely in a Class I Division II environment.
