Now hiring Logistics Technicians for our premier client in Waukee, IA!
Pay: $20/hr
Hours: 7am-3:30pm, M-F
Location: Waukee, IA 50263
Position Type: 1 long-term (16 months) and 1 short-term (1-2 months)
Job Summary: The Logistics Technician is responsible for oversight of the loading dock and related activities. Tasks may include but are not limited to receiving and shipping equipment and materials for the building and data center, tracking and maintaining inventory reports of materials and equipment, and serving as the building liaison for customer deliveries. This position will also provide support for the Site Services Technicians, as requested.
Responsibilities
- Receiving material deliveries, un-boxing, ensuring contents agree with the delivery note and staging
- Receive equipment and materials at the loading dock, including unpacking, examining, and routing incoming shipments, identifying damaged items and reporting damages to the Logistics Lead, and recording shortages / inconsistency from order
- Coordinating deliveries and transport requests
- Ensure all hardware is asset tagged and recorded
- Processing hardware warranty/RMA requests within strict timelines
- Maintain an updated and accurate inventory of equipment and all hardware and materials
- Maintain all equipment storage areas in a professional, easily accessible, clean, and tidy manner
- Carry out daily housekeeping checks of all storage areas
- Perform basic installation of rack-mountable IT equipment (rack & stack only) or placement of pre-rack equipment cabinets
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices
- Develop a good working relationship with all members of Supplier staff and the client representatives
- Adherence to all uniform & PPE requirements
- Ensure a professional image is always presented
- All other logistics-related work as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Logistics/supply chain experience
- APICS or CILT qualification, preferred
- Understanding of Mission Critical environments, and working restrictions applicable to such environments, preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
