Transportation Planner (Logistics Transportation)
Location: Arden Hills, MN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay Rate: $25/hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Planner to support the planning and execution of inbound and outbound freight across three business divisions. This role works closely with internal cross-functional teams and external carrier partners to ensure shipments are executed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with business and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities-
Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments for an assigned region across three business units

Partner with carriers and logistics providers to plan and execute dry van, refrigerated, and LTL shipments

Communicate shipment status and issues with Customer Service, Warehousing, Deployment, and Supply Chain teams

Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address delays or disruptions

Troubleshoot and resolve transportation issues quickly and professionally

Manage transportation events to improve carrier utilization and service performance

Support transportation administration activities, including:

Freight bill review and payment support

Assisting Accounts Payable with issue resolution

Entering and managing transportation claims

Bachelor's degree (4-year) or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
-
1+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related supply chain role

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Working knowledge of transportation coordination and freight execution processes

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Proven problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under time constraints

High attention to detail with strong follow-through

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable managing conflict while maintaining strong internal and external relationships

Adaptable and flexible in a fast-changing environment

Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

Experience with OTM
-
Familiarity with FourKites
-
Knowledge of Sonar
-
Exposure to Power BI reporting and dashboards
