Machine Operator Details:

  • 2nd Shift: 3 pm – 1:20 am, Monday through Thursday
  • $17.00 per hour
  • Mandatory OT possible on Friday
  • Open-ended opportunity with possibility for hire by company based on performance

What's a typical day as a Machine Operator? You'll be:
  • Picking and preparing raw materials for use in production processes.
  • Verifying production runs match schedule by checking labels, packaging, and other specifications.
  • Folding and sealing cardboard boxes, labeling bagged products, removing bags from conveyor, placing into boxes, sealing, and stacking boxes onto pallets.
  • Completing all paperwork accurately and neatly, including finished goods documentation, metal detector checks, scale verification, and other assigned documents.
  • Regularly handling objects weighing up to 50+ lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues from other departments and working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Utilizing simple hand tools as needed for production tasks.
  • Performing miscellaneous duties such as sweeping, clean-up, garbage removal, and taking samples.
  • Performing full wash down of the production room with the use of ECOLAB chemicals, scrub brushes, and a strahman hoses. The wash also involves the disassembling and assembly of the production equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety, environmental, and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by IRCA.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You may be a good fit for this position, if:
  • You have 6 months of machine operation, production, assembly, or manufacturing experience.
  • You can lift up to 50lbs frequently, climb ladders, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have strong English and Math skills.
  • You can work overtime as needed.
  • You have new steel toed shoes or can get some before starting.
  • You have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
