Job Description: Machine Operator General Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations in the Production Department. This role requires adherence to all operating procedures, safety regulations, company policies, and relevant local, state, and federal employment laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate all dry blend mixers, sifters, packaging equipment, and other manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Operate all liquid mixing tanks, mixers, pumps, and other manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Perform equipment changeovers and adjustments during production runs.
• Clean all blenders and tanks after each batch or as required.
• Accurately complete all manufacturing log sheets by reading and following instructions.
• Complete production activities assigned by the production supervisor, including required overtime.
• Follow safety rules and report all incidents/accidents to the production supervisor immediately.
• Operate a forklift and obtain forklift certification.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a sanitary work area.
• Work to improve processes and reduce production costs by minimizing product waste.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, reporting all pertinent information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the production supervisor or management.
• Comply with the attendance policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Job Specifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a production environment, preferably in the chemical industry or industrial environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding and practical experience with production and manufacturing operations preferred.
• Experience in mixing, blending, and weighing preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to apply commonsense to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization.
• Basic math skills to convert kilograms to pounds and gallons to pounds are required.

Work Conditions:

• Ability to maintain concentrated attention to detail for sustained periods.
• Physically demanding tasks requiring standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling for 8+ hours.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 60 pounds regularly.
• High dexterity required for operating tools or equipment.
• Use of close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work area is not climate-controlled, with temperatures ranging from 20F to 115F.
• Dusty and dirty work environment.
• Fast-paced work with changing requirements based on customer needs.

Pay Rate:18-24/Hour
