Job Title: Assembly Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Davenport, IA (Onsite)
Assignment Length: 24 Months (As a W2 employee of KellyOCG)
Pay Rate: $42.50 per hour
Shift Information: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (OT hours as requested, typically 5–8 additional hours)
Work Environment: Onsite at manufacturing facility supporting the Loader Cabs assembly line

Position Overview:
As an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the Loader Cabs assembly line by partnering with cross-functional teams to implement safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements. You'll lead capital projects, develop and optimize assembly operations, and provide troubleshooting support—all while fostering a positive and engaged team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Lead and manage small to moderate scope capital projects
  • Establish and maintain layouts, labor standards, methods, and sequence of events for assembly operations
  • Analyze, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for assembly operations
  • Support cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement initiatives for loader cab assembly

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience with manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance, and facilities
  • Experience using engineering tools and manufacturing execution systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills with operators, peers, and leadership
  • Self-motivated, able to execute tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong personal accountability and follow-through; ability to drive team engagement

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering preferred) OR equivalent related work experience
