Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring Material Handler & Forklift Operators in Charleston, SC. We are seeking dedicated and reliable team members for multiple DC positions in Charleston, SC, including Material Handler and Equipment Operator
Shift Hours & Pay Rates
- First Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm or 6:30am–2:30pm (area dependent) | $17.00/hr
- Second Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–10:30pm | $18.00/hr
- Third Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 10:30pm–6:30am | $17.75/hr
- Payrate subject to change
Location: Charleston, SC
Open Positions & Key Responsibilities
Material Handler
- Frequently lifting cases up to 50 lbs.; occasionally over 50 lbs.
- Folding clothing, tagging clothing, tagging size strips, bagging, hanging clothes, some repackaging & scanning
- Scanning, labeling, restocking, box building
- Pallet building, frequent unloading & bending with heavy cases
- Repackaging, using pallet jacks or hand trucks
- Placing cases on conveyor.
- Operate shuttle-based order picking equipment up to 65 feet high
- Perform pallet/case picks; store inventory in racking
- Comfortable with heights; consistent lifting of heavy cases (50+ lbs.)
Equipment Operator ( Forklift)
- Operate all stand-up powered/non-powered DC equipment (forklifts, walkies, reaches, pacers, crowns, clamps, high-reach trucks, pallet jacks)
- Move materials, perform pallet/case picks, load conveyor, regular heavy lifting (50+ lbs.)
- 1 year experience operating a Standup forklift
Requirements
- Consistent ability to lift 50 lbs. (some positions require frequent heavier lifting)
- Successful completion of all safety & equipment operation training as assigned
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Comfort with heights
