Position: Material Handler
Location: San Lorenzo, PR
SECTION 1: JOB SUMMARY*
Responsible for the proper maintenance of the Manufacturing Line Rhythm through the replenishment of Kanban's and the delivery of raw materials to production operators.
SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Replenishment of the Kan Bans and proper monitoring of Kan Ban levels by manufacturing line and/or cell.
- Responsible for the inventory of all floor stock items in the manufacturing areas, this includes but it's not limited to material pallet management including cleaning, allocation of materials, request and receiving of materials, alcohol replenishment, among other related activities.
- Actively support Kaizen, 6's and other improvement activities.
- May support with work order creation and data entry taking into consideration week requirements.
- Pick up recycling boxes when needed.
- Pick and distribute tooling, as needed for the production operators.
- Monitor the manufacturing line performance, rhythm, and work operations.
- Transfer material of totes to cases as applicable.
- Maintain the logbooks up to date for optimum material flow.
- Ensure that the material that they distribute to production operators is the correct one and complies with the required process and/or specifications, must verify proper identification and disposition materials (Ex: Chemicals waste).
- Ensure that production operators sufficient raw materials to perform their assigned duties.
- Immediate communication to Facilitator, Line Coordinator, Group Leader or Manufacturing Manager of manufacturing line issues.
- Distribute tooling, as needed for the production operators.
- If necessary, order batches and creates requisitions.
- As required participate in Rapid Response Team (RRT) quality investigations (all areas)
- Responsible for housekeeping of manufacturing areas (daily cleaning, weekly cleaning) as per applicable procedures.
- Keep Material Segregation (Warehouse, manufacturing floor).
- Complete correspondent trainings applicable to the handling of hazardous waste and complex chemicals.

- Pack/ Palletize non or absorbable products swaged and wound in the company to transport them to next process flow.
- Performer task related to Ambient & Storage within the JDE system.
- Adjusts hours of lots that need correction of time the Check in or check out. (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines,
- Allocation of silver cases in MES for swaging availability (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines
- Monitor and document environmental conditions for room and cabinet storage, product storage requirements. (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines
- Prepare and place products that are already in magazines inside the transportation Metal Cases. (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines,
- Associate will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of correspondent solvent mixes to be used in the applicable manufacturing processes. (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines
- Responsible for daily shipments to sterilization site. (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines,
- Replenishment of gowning room (soap, booties, etc) (This is applicable for some Business Unit or Lines,
- Must be successfully trained in the use of an electric and/or manual pallet jack, and scissors lift, as applicable.
- Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
- Associate degree preferred; High School diploma required.
- 1-2 years of experience within Manufacturing environment or related field.
