We're currently hiring a Full-Time Millwright for our client, a premier leader in specialty frozen baked goods, located in Brantford.
Compensation:

  • Base Pay: $46.21/hour
  • Night Shift Premium: +$1.20/hour
  • Weekend Premium: +$2.00/hour

What You'll Be Doing
As a Full-Time Millwright, your day-to-day will include:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing control systems, scaling systems, and electrical/electronic components on production equipment
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Installing and modifying mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
  • Handling hazardous materials and leading emergency response efforts
  • Observing equipment for faults and proactively resolving issues
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and maintenance shop
  • Repairing non-production equipment and facilities (e.g., cold storage, lighting, forklifts, trucks, office fittings)
  • Adhering to hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor

What You Bring to the Table
  • Valid Millwright Certification (required)
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude (preferred)
  • Class “B” Refrigeration license (asset)
  • Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs and frequency drives
  • Background in food manufacturing and knowledge of HACCP (asset)
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive attitude
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating continental shift schedule
