Kelly Services is hiring an Operational Buyer in Farmington!

If you enjoy keeping production on track through smart purchasing and supplier coordination, this role puts you directly behind the scenes of machine assembly and sheet metal fabrication. You'll manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials arrive exactly when and where they're needed.
What You'll Do

  • Convert planned requirements into purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Process supplier order confirmations and maintain accurate PO documentation
  • Follow up with suppliers on shortages, delivery changes, and order discrepancies
  • Monitor upcoming deliveries and proactively escalate potential material risks
  • Support engineering change notifications (ECNs) with suppliers
  • Assist with inventory controls, excess stock escalation, and supplier performance tracking
  • Process supplier invoices and resolve quantity or delivery date issues
  • Communicate daily with value-stream buyers and manufacturing teams

What You'll Bring
  • Experience as a Buyer or in procurement within a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with parts lists, BOMs, and production-driven purchasing
  • Experience working in a business system; SAP preferred
  • Strong communication skills with a firm, diplomatic approach
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual German/English a plus

Schedule & Pay
  • Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Full-Time
  • $25.00–$35.00/hr DOE | Weekly Pay
  • Temp-to-Hire opportunity based on performance
