Pay Rate: $24-28/hr
Shift/Schedule:
1st shift working hours
- 7am – 3:45pm, M-F (OT as needed)
2nd shift working hours
- 7pm – 3:45am, M-F (OT as needed)
What's a typical day as a Parts Ordering Specialist? You'll be:
• Supporting and maintaining inventory accuracy through proper cyclic counting.
• Processing material reports and escalating nonconformance to the Production Control team.
• Conducting low inventory parts investigation and critical parts expedites conformation.
• Collaborating with IL/RI to identify parts without manifest or kanban labels.
• Confirming inventory at the beginning and end of each shift for critical parts.
• Performing flow rack capacity analysis and MIN-MAX checks.
• Supporting parts shortage investigation and overflow management activities.
• Maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.
• Completing daily cycle counts and supporting physical inventory requirements.
• Investigating abnormal situations, correcting if possible, and documenting findings.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Have demonstrated experience working in logistics, parts procurement, or supply chain management.
• Possess basic knowledge of high-volume production systems.
• Have proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot tables, formula functions, and V-look ups.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify gaps and implement countermeasures.
• Have a demonstrated understanding of data analysis and visualizations.
• Preferably have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Have 2+ years of Production Control experience within a high-volume production environment, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• Have project management experience with the capability to develop, lead, and prioritize work.
