Kelly Government Solutions is seeking qualified UROLOGISTS for full-time roles with the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, WV. Great way to get your foot in the door with the VA. Position: Urologist

 

Location: Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV

Type: Full-Time

Pay: Commensurate with Experience

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Urology consultations for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Evaluate and treat Urology emergencies in various settings (Emergency Department, Outpatient clinic, inpatient ward, ICU, and Operating Room).
  • Perform a full range of inpatient and outpatient Urology procedures.
  • Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending referrals to other healthcare providers.
  • Treat patients with illnesses or injuries of the genitourinary system.
  • Evaluate changes in patient's physical status and vital signs before surgery.
  • Perform minor and major surgical procedures.
  • Inform patients and families of risks, benefits, and alternative treatments.
  • Conduct regular postoperative follow-up, patient teaching, and wound care.
  • Complete all required charting and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in surgical quality and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Perform emergency surgical procedures as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine or equivalent, from an accredited institution.
  • License: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any US State, Territory, Commonwealth, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency Training: Must have completed an accredited residency training program.
  • Board certification is preferred but not required.

 

Conditions of Employment:

  • Subject to urinalysis for illegal drug use.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Online onboarding process required.
  • Seasonal influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations as per VA regulations.
