Kelly Services has an immediate need at a premier client in Philadelphia, PA, where we combine science and creativity to meet the world's needs. We are looking for a dedicated Production Operator to contribute to our manufacturing processes and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Position: Production Operator
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Salary: $20 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Job Summary:
The Production Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely manufacturing of batches. This role involves measuring materials, adding them to pressure kettles and mix tanks, and operating various manufacturing equipment, including scales, pumps, and tanks. The operator will also maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure all required materials for production batches.
- Effectively operate pressure kettles and mix tanks, including scales and pumps.
- Maintain cleanliness and good working order of the department and all equipment.
- Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation standards throughout the production process.
- Complete necessary documentation and data entry related to production.
- Work weekends as needed to fulfill customer orders.
Required Skills:
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs without difficulty.
- Proficient in weighing ingredients accurately using tools such as floor scales and flow meters.
- Quick learner with a focus on process improvements.
- Capable of wearing a full-face respirator when necessary.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Computer literate with the ability to navigate different software applications.
- SAP knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Forklift training is preferred.
