Description

Production Operator

Pay Rate: $22.20/hour (includes weekend shift differential)
Schedule: Friday – Sunday | 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 hours (includes additional 4 hours per week)

Position Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality finished products from raw materials. This role follows established procedures to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while maintaining accurate production and inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment to convert raw materials into finished goods in accordance with production specifications.

  • Perform in-process quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.

  • Monitor production processes and recognize equipment malfunctions or product defects.

  • Troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues to maintain optimal production levels.

  • Accurately document materials used, work-in-process data, and production results.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with company policies.

Quality & Production Tasks
  • Conduct routine measurements and tests, including hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content.

  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and subassembly layouts.

  • Track orders received, completed work, and inventory levels.

  • Align workload, staffing, and equipment capacity with production needs.

  • Support production scheduling by coordinating with materials planning, production, and maintenance teams.

  • Requisition materials based on production schedules and delivery timelines.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Entry-level role; little to no prior manufacturing experience required.

  • Ability to learn basic job skills, company policies, and standard operating procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.

  • Basic documentation and record-keeping skills.

Job Scope & Complexity
  • Performs routine and repetitive tasks under established guidelines.

  • Works with direct supervision and clearly defined procedures.
