Description

Production Technician I - Job Summary The Service Technician Level 3 and Level 4 roles are critical to the successful execution of service operations involving centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment. These roles require a high level of technical proficiency, safety awareness, and collaborative work ethic. Technicians are responsible for disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing of various pump types and related components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate effectively with peers, customers, and suppliers. - Adhere strictly to safety procedures and risk mitigation practices. - Understand and apply ITT Pro Services quality policies. - Operate forklifts and other manual equipment safely and efficiently. - Read and interpret OEM technical documentation IOMs, GA drawings, blueprints . - Acquire and manage pre-work documentation and support materials. - Perform match marking, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of centrifugal pumps OH, BB1, BB4, VS, BB3/BB5 . - Conduct component cleaning and hydro-testing. - Use inspection tools and documentation proficiently. - Create material lists BOMs and recommended work scopes. - Report labor and task completion using shop floor systems e.g., Vantage . - Perform final build and testing of pumps and non-standard equipment. - Apply paint and metal repair compounds. - Conduct leak tests air and hydro , liquid penetrant testing, and PMI gun operations. - Balance impellers using static and dynamic methods. - Operate lathes for impeller trimming and other manual equipment Bridgeport, surface grinder, radial drill . - Identify non-conforming products and complete required documentation. - Install bearings and mechanical seals conventional and cartridge . - Communicate effectively to identify and resolve operational issues. - Complete final assembly documentation accurately. Additional Responsibilities TECH4 Level - Lead field service operations including off-site travel. - Create final work scopes and part drawings basic and CAD . - Perform certified NDT Level I or II inspections. - Set up and operate advanced machining equipment HTL/engine lathes, VTL, horizontal boring mills . - Conduct operator preventative maintenance. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred. - Minimum of 3 5 years of experience in industrial equipment service or machining. - Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring tools. - Strong understanding of pump components and repair processes including welding and machining. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Proficient in use of computer and other electronic devices such as tablets
