Position Summary:
The Program Scheduler will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the scheduling of multiple complex interconnected projects. This role involves collaborating with multiple cross-functional departments to ensure efficient programming, prioritization, and adherence to timelines. The Program Scheduler will take on the key responsibility of developing a comprehensive program schedule that serves as a roadmap for all related projects within this platform. This overarching schedule will not only outline timelines but also establish critical connections and dependencies among various tasks and projects. The Program Scheduler will analyze project requirements, monitor progress, and adjust schedules as necessary to achieve strategic goals. This role will report to the overall Project Head.

Job Title: Program Scheduler/Manager
Pay Rate: $70-$80/hr

Job Responsibilities/ Requirements: 

  • Create a detailed, high-level schedule that integrates all project timelines, highlighting key milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage multiple project schedules concurrently.
  • Synthesize various schedules into a single, cohesive program level schedule.
  • Ensure that the program schedule aligns with organizational goals and resources.
  • Ability to translate technical scenarios and challenges into actionable tasks.
  • Identify and manage dependencies between different projects.
  • Assess and identify schedule dependencies to support decision making.
  • Map out critical path views to understand the impact of dependencies on timelines.
  • Facilitates project risk reviews, drives informed decision-making, and ensures the resolution of critical issues.
  • Drive development of mitigation strategies.
  • Foresee and communicate conflicts that may arise due to overlapping dependencies.
  • Determine when appropriate to escalate project risks to ensure timely resolution.
  • Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to reassess priorities and realign schedules.
  • Monitor changes and assess implications on overarching program schedule.
  • Responsible for building consensus and ensure alignment among stakeholders on the program schedule.
  • Assist project managers in coordinating their schedules to maintain alignment with the overarching program schedule.
  • Establish processes to analyze, measure, and track project results, reports on progress, and optimizes program processes.


Experience and Education
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific discipline required.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience required (project and program management or leadership).
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in medical device product development (end to end).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and various levels of leadership.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers.
 
 
Required Skills
  • Project & Program Management experience is required.
  • Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred.
  • Proficient with advanced scheduling tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) preferred or willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills to discuss schedule activities, changes and dependencies.
  • Effectiveness in conveying complex scheduling information to stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to communicate with different stakeholders/varying levels of leadership.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and knowledge of different functions.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to manage various project schedules with numerous workstreams/deliverables.
  • Competence in structuring and prioritizing tasks across different projects.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams.
  • Quality systems and Design Control knowledge pertaining to product development in medical devices field is preferred.
  • Willing to travel internationally.
