QA Technician – Mixed Shift (Evening/Overnight) – Holland MI

As a QA Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. Pay: $20-21/hr – contract to potential permanent opportunity

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• Proven experience in food manufacturing or microbiology laboratories
• Familiarity with microbiological, chemical, and physical testing methods
• Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment including pipettes
• Ability to carry 40 lbs. and conduct sensory testing of products like milk and ice cream
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with HACCP, SQF, and GMP standards
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Experience participating in third-party audits and inspections
• Flexibility to adapt to shift changes, overtime, or additional training requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High School diploma required; college degree in sciences preferred
• Previous work in food manufacturing environments or microbiology labs
• Familiarity with sensory testing of dairy products (milk/ice cream) is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work during mixed shifts (Monday – Thursday, 330PMEST – 12AMEST and Friday, 5PMEST to 5AMEST)
• Prior experience or willingness to handle rework and quality hold products
• Attention to safety and environmental protocols, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
