QA Technician – Mixed Shift (Evening/Overnight) – Holland MI

As a QA Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. Pay: $20-21/hr – contract to potential permanent opportunity
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience in food manufacturing or microbiology laboratories
- Familiarity with microbiological, chemical, and physical testing methods
- Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment including pipettes
- Ability to carry 40 lbs. and conduct sensory testing of products like milk and ice cream
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with HACCP, SQF, and GMP standards
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Experience participating in third-party audits and inspections
- Flexibility to adapt to shift changes, overtime, or additional training requirements
- High School diploma required; college degree in sciences preferred
- Previous work in food manufacturing environments or microbiology labs
- Familiarity with sensory testing of dairy products (milk/ice cream) is a plus
- Ability to work during mixed shifts (Monday – Thursday, 330PMEST – 12AMEST and Friday, 5PMEST to 5AMEST)
- Prior experience or willingness to handle rework and quality hold products
- Attention to safety and environmental protocols, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
