Quality Inspector

Schedule: On-site Monday through Friday 7am to 330pm
Length of assignment: Until the end of 2025 likely to extend into 2026
Pay: $19 an hour
ResponsibilitiesQuality Incoming Components Review material records and specifications and conduct inspections to release materials for use in manufacturing in a medical device regulated environment.
- Sample and inspect incoming material according to established procedures.
- Ensure quality of material via precise review and interpretation of material component specifications and drawings.
- Ensure material inspection plan completions per QA Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain timely flow of material inspections in accordance with production workflow forecast requirements.
- Organize and maintain receiving inspection records / files for archiving.
- Communicate component issues in a timely manner to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare and complete component record processing for final component and material release to manufacturing.
- Perform incoming material investigations or research as requested.
- Use of measuring tools- rulers, micrometers
- Use of microscope for inspection
- Requirements - High School Diploma or GED and Experience in Geometric Dimension Tolerance
- Quality Assurance experience in a medical device/ pharmaceutical manufacturer 2-year experience. Be very detail-oriented and able to perform precise measurements, visual inspections for defects, and record accurate results.
- Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Be able to read and understand company policies and procedures, experience in Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Preferred - Technical Degree 2-year Associate in scientific or medical field, Prior inspection of molding components. Possess basic knowledge and skills necessary to operate simple precision measurement equipment such as handheld rulers, calipers, and micrometers.
- Additional skills for operating advanced measurement systems are highly desired Smartscope digital measurement system, Pouch Burst Test machine, Force Testing machine .
