Quality Control Manager
Location: Norwood, MA (Relocating to Walpole, MA in 2026)
Full-Time | 10-Hour Shifts | Weekends as Needed
Salary: $70,000 – $100,000+ (Commensurate with Experience)
Join a global leader in electro-mechanical and cable assembly manufacturing! Established in 1988 and certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, we are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) across our facilities in Norwood, MA and Tecate, Mexico.
Key Responsibilities Quality System Management-
Develop, implement, and oversee continuous improvement initiatives in line with QMS effectiveness.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards and all applicable legal/regulatory requirements.

Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely execution and compliance.

Analyze and report on quality metrics and trends

Oversee monitoring, measurement, and testing functions and supplier performance.

Manage and update the approved supplier list in coordination with the Purchasing Manager.

Facilitate QMS and cross-functional meetings to promote quality objectives and best practices.

Review and approve ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and Assembly Instructions prior to production.

Oversee the review of RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) and support root cause analysis.

Provide ongoing training on quality standards and procedures to staff at all levels.

Collaborate with executive leadership to define and meet quality goals.

Lead internal auditor training and manage the internal audit schedule.

Promote and support a 5S workplace environment and culture of continuous improvement.

Supervise the Quality Control team and manage daily inspection tasks:

Inspect incoming materials and vendor deliveries.

Perform First Article Inspections and coordinate feedback with production teams.

Inspect finished goods and verify rework outcomes.

Maintain inspection documentation and logs.

Full-time (40+ hours/week), Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Minimum 5 years in quality management in high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing

At least 3 years of staff management and coaching experience

Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and 13485 requirements

Hands-on experience with:

Root cause analysis and CAPA processes

Regulatory compliance (e.g., medical device reporting, product risk assessments)

Internal/external audits and complaint handling

Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Ability to travel as needed (domestically and to Mexico)

Wire & cable industry experience is a plus

Lean or Six Sigma certification is preferred
