Now Hiring: Material Handling Specialist / Returns Representative
Location: On-Site
Pay Range: $20/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday- 7:30am – 4pm or 8am – 4:30pm Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Material Handling Specialist / Returns Representative to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will support both material handling and returns operations, playing a key role in maintaining efficient inventory control and managing returned parts.
This is a hands-on, on-site position requiring strong communication, organization, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities:
- Open, review, and evaluate all part returns promptly.
- Inspect returned items for defects, usage, or misuse.
- Determine accurate disposition of returned items (restock, return to vendor, or scrap).
- Professionally repackage parts being returned to stock.
- Process customer returns and issue credits as appropriate.
- Follow up with vendors regarding returns and ensure timely receipt of credits.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding return inquiries or issues.
- Monitor trends in defective returns and report patterns to Spare Parts Management, Quality, and Service departments.
- Assist with general material handling duties, including lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in material management, inventory control, or similar field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Professional and clear communication skills.
