Robotic Welding Technician| Direct Hire| $24-32/hr. based on skills and experience| Grand Rapids, MI |Hours: Monday – Friday 3:30pm-1:00am – training on day or split shift preferred

This is a direct hire Robotic Welding Technician position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Position Information:
• Program and operate robotic GMAW welding equipment, including Yaskawa/Motoman robots, and set up welding jobs.
• Perform tack and hand welding using GMAW, preparing components and fixtures for welding operations.
• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to assemble subassemblies in accordance with production documentation.
• Inspect work pieces and assemblies to ensure conformity with specifications and welding codes, complete process inspection, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintaining automation equipment, performing scheduled maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate promptly with the team regarding machinery or production concerns; oversee other related tasks as assigned.

Required Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in GMAW welding.
• At least 1 year of experience programming robotic GMAW systems.
• Preferred experience with Yaskawa/Motoman robot programming.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.
