Position Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the President, will play a pivotal role in driving growth by developing and executing sales and marketing strategies. This role integrates the responsibilities of account executive, sales manager, and marketing manager while overseeing the Customer Success Leader and the customer service team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Business Development: Develop and implement 1, 3, and 5-year sales plans to expand market presence. Identify new business opportunities, manage key client relationships, and oversee outbound sales activities to promote lab capabilities.

  • Marketing and Brand Management: Strengthen the company's brand by executing digital marketing initiatives, SEO, and content strategies. Introduce new testing services and enhance visibility across target industries.

  • Customer Success and Service Leadership: Manage and mentor the Customer Success Leader to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and service excellence.

  • Team Management and Growth: Supervise and develop the customer service team, ensuring operational efficiency and high performance.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sales data, forecast trends, and generate reports for senior management to track ROI and market performance.

  • Compliance and Industry Engagement: Stay current with industry regulations and best practices. Build relationships with key industry stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field. An MBA is highly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years of combined experience in sales and marketing, with proven success in business development, digital marketing, and client relationship management. Experience managing teams and customer success operations is essential.

  • Industry Expertise: Strong background in food, agriculture, chemicals, and testing laboratory environments.

  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms, and data analysis. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Additional Details:
  • Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (On-site).

  • Travel Requirement: Up to 40% domestic travel.

  • Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary with performance incentives, healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
