Sales Tax Associate
Location: Clearwater, FL
Salary: $18.50/hr
Type: Temp to Perm
Monday – Friday 9AM-6PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Tax Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of tax certificates and will be responsible for managing and processing customer tax documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex issues while maintaining accuracy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and process customer tax documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations and minimize potential tax liabilities.
- Review and validate tax documents during new account setup in CIS, ensuring accuracy to support future audit readiness.
- Independently address and resolve resale certificate issues in collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
- Monitor CIS accounts and orders for tax-related discrepancies, proactively guiding customers and sales teams through resolution.
- Perform order reviews and releases with attention to tax compliance.
- Validate and upload tax certificates to customer accounts.
- Communicate with sales teams and customers regarding corrections, updates, or missing tax documentation.
- Proficiency in analyzing data, resolving complex issues, and executing instructions with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically, executing instructions with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle special assignments and drive tasks to completion.
- Knowledge of tax certificates is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with CIS is not required; training will be provided.
