Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Worker
Location: Monroe, NC 28110
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift Available
The Shipping/Receiving Worker (Expeditor/Material Handler I) is responsible for the safe storage, handling, and internal movement of materials throughout the Monroe facility. This role ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of production material needs and outbound shipments, supporting smooth operations across departments.
Key Responsibilities:-
Locate materials based on submitted Material Request forms.

Safely transport and unload materials using forklifts or pallet jacks to production areas.

Wrap finished products and stage them in the shipping area.

Load and unload trucks for incoming and outgoing shipments.

Communicate stock levels and inventory needs to the Inventory Supervisor.

Participate in daily cycle counts and inventory audits.

Complete roll audits and consumption reports.

Assist in other departments or tasks as assigned.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Report safety concerns promptly and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Promote continuous process improvement within shipping/receiving.

Ensure 100% order accuracy and high-quality standards.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum 1 year of experience operating a forklift and pallet jack.

Strong math skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Reliable, safety-focused, and proactive.

Indoor warehouse environment with exposure to mechanical equipment.

Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Moderate noise levels.

Requires standing, sitting, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive movements.
