Role Overview As the Site Operations Manager, you will oversee the manufacturing operations of a busy electrical equipment facility. You'll manage warehouse/materials, fabrication, assembly, and outbound logistics—with safety, quality, and timely delivery as your guiding principles. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, you'll be an integral leader empowering teams, fostering accountability, and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide support to all manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics teams.
  • Set, communicate, and attain goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Mentor supervisors, team leads, and support personnel, creating an engaged and accountable workforce.
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and all relevant standards.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, meeting the highest standards.
  • Own production scheduling and backlog management, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.
  • Drive a culture of quality and continuous problem-solving throughout the site.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to reduce waste and enhance value-add operations—championing ongoing improvements and innovation.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to develop and execute process improvements.
  • Lead the implementation of visual management and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Promote engagement, open communication, and a mindset focused on improvement and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant operations/manufacturing experience, or Associate's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability and results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effective collaborator and team-builder.
  • High sense of ownership and urgency with outstanding problem-solving abilities.
  • Data-driven decision maker with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems—experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
  • Proficient with standard MS Office applications and mobile communication tools.
  • Experience in metal fabrication, assembly, or testing of engineered-to-order products.
  • Electrical distribution equipment manufacturing or field service experience strongly preferred (switchboards, switchgear, circuit breakers, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving best practices.
