Solder Operator

Location: Attleboro, MA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:45 PM
Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Utility 1 Operator to join our Solder Department. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with strong hand-eye coordination, an eye for quality, and a commitment to safety and precision.

Key Responsibilities

As a Utility 1 Operator, you will perform various soldering operations under the guidance of the department supervisor. Core duties include:

  • Performing solder operations as assigned

  • Completing the following tasks efficiently:

  • Set-up and charge

  • Pin-stem operation

  • Fusion operation

  • Dapping operation

  • Operating as a Furnace Tender, including:

  • Picking up racks from the set-up bench

  • Loading/unloading the furnace while keeping work orders separate

  • Moving completed work to the next station

  • Performing furnace housekeeping and upkeep

    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or GED required

    • Prior experience with soldering or related manufacturing techniques preferred

    • Strong hand-eye coordination

    • Attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Ability to read work tickets and follow written/verbal instructions

    • Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods

    Physical & Work Environment Requirements
    • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

    • Regular use of hands and arms; occasional kneeling, crouching, or reaching

    • Continuous visual focus during tasks

    • Exposure to minor hazards such as heat and dust; PPE provided

    • Work is routine but requires consistent focus and precision
