Position Title: Soldering Technician
1st Shift: 6AM-2:30PM
Compensation: $35 Hourly

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to support the R&D team in developing advanced catheter-based medical devices used to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias. These life-saving technologies help restore normal heart rhythms and improve patient outcomes. In this role, you'll perform high-precision soldering and prototype assembly, working closely with engineers to bring innovative designs from concept to reality. Your work will directly contribute to the creation of minimally invasive tools that enhance quality of care for patients worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Perform high-precision hand soldering of microelectronic components, with wire gauges ranging from 12 to 42. This work supports the development of electrophysiology catheters and various medical device prototypes, ensuring reliability and functionality in critical applications.
• Collaborate with R&D engineers to assemble and modify prototype builds based on engineering drawings, work instructions, and real-time design feedback.
• Perform detailed assembly and visual inspections under microscopes, using magnifications ranging from 10x to 50x, to assess solder joint integrity, ensure proper component placement, and verify compliance with IPC standards and internal quality requirements.
• Document assembly steps, test outcomes, and process improvements to support design iteration and early-phase product development.
• Perform rework and troubleshooting on complex assemblies, applying advanced soldering techniques to correct defects while preserving functionality and design intent.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
