We are seeking a skilled and dependable Structural Mechanic II to join our aircraft production team in Savannah, GA. In this role, you will perform a wide range of structural assembly tasks in a production environment, following engineering specifications and FAA requirements. Now Hiring: Structural Mechanic II
Location: Savannah, GA 31408
Pay Rate: $25.66/hr
Shift: 4:30 AM – 3:10 PM
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Contract-to-Hire)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complex structural assembly operations and riveting with minimal supervision

  • Safely install detail parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft using standard sheetmetal techniques

  • Use tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, and reamers

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, sketches, and operation sheets

  • Align and assemble parts using jigs, clamps, pins, and holding fixtures

  • Shape and form complex angles and configurations per specifications

  • Apply adhesives, sealants, and solvents according to procedures

  • Make repairs based on DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs to ensure conformity

  • Maintain documentation including MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs

  • Participate in turnover meetings and coordinate shift handoffs

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S and safety standards

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with Solumina and Smarteam

  • Ability to work with composite resins and materials

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 2 years of structural assembly experience

  • Ability to read blueprints and use a 6" scale

  • Basic math and computer skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stands, and work in confined spaces

  • Must be able to work any shift

  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Must demonstrate professionalism, craftsmanship, and the ability to meet production deadlines
