Job Title: Supervisor
Location: Waterloo, IA
Assignment Length: 24 Months (As a W2 employee of KellyOCG)
Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour
Shift Information: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (frequent overtime; rotating weekend coverage as needed)
Work Environment: Onsite at manufacturing facility; approximately 80% shop floor presence required; metatarsal safety shoes required from Day 1
Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the future, for this position. Cross border work is not permitted for this role.

Position Overview:
As a 2nd Shift Supervisor, you will lead a wage workforce to achieve manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule for drivetrain component manufacturing. You'll drive safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and employee engagement through continuous improvement initiatives and maintain positive, productive communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead wage workforce to accomplish safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals through Continuous Improvement (CI) plans and activities
- Ensure personnel have the necessary training, work instructions, and tools
- Lead employee engagement activities, cultivating a positive environment through effective communications and guidance
- Monitor individual and group performance, provide resolution—including discipline—as needed, and uphold company policies, practices, and work rules
- Spend approximately 80% of time on shop floor; monitor operations and address production needs
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience supporting or working in shop floor manufacturing
- Demonstrated team leadership skills
- Ability and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and across shifts based on production demands
- Experience communicating across functional areas: supply management, engineering, operations, HR
What Makes You Stand Out (Preferred):
- 2+ years of experience with wage/union employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules
- 1+ years of experience with continuous improvement pay plans (CIPP)
- Working knowledge of CI continual improvement processes and 5S methodology
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or at least 4 years of equivalent related work experience
Additional Information:
- Must wear metatarsal safety shoes on Day 1
- Successful completion of company safety training is required for intra-facility Gator driving duties
- Limited local travel between nearby facilities may be required, using personal vehicle
