Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to join a well-established manufacturing company in Rochester, NY. This company is a recognized leader in precision molding and component manufacturing, providing high-quality solutions to various industries. Job Details:

  • Pay: $25 - $35 per hour (based on experience)
  • Flexible Shifts: A/B/C
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:
As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of molds, dies, and precision tooling to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. Injection molding experience is a plus but not required. This role requires hands-on machining experience, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build, modify, and repair injection molds, jigs, fixtures, and precision tooling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and specifications
  • Operate manual and CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment
  • Perform tooling maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance tooling performance
  • Ensure all tooling meets quality and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Tool Maker, Machinist, or Mold Maker
  • Experience in injection molding required
  • Proficiency in machining, precision measurement tools, and metal properties
  • Ability to read blueprints and work with CAD/CAM software preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred
