Location: Markham
Role Overview:
As a Transportation Load Planner, you will play a vital role in executing transportation shipment planning. This includes scheduling outbound customer shipments using SAP, managing inbound transportation for external suppliers, and effectively coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You'll oversee freight claim management, ensuring accurate entry and timely resolution, contributing significantly to the success of the North American Transportation Organization's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:

  • Plan, re-plan, and execute transportation planning effectively between carriers and internal business partners.
  • Schedule outbound customer shipments for assigned Distribution Centers (DCs) utilizing SAP to select suitable carriers meeting client and customer service requirements.
  • Manage inbound transportation routing and scheduling for external suppliers.
  • Communicate professionally, effectively, and timely with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the management of freight claims, ensuring precise claim entry and diligent follow-up to facilitate timely resolution and reimbursement.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Hybrid work schedule: three days a week onsite at the Markham office.
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation, ability to thrive in a team environment, ensuring reliability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, meet deadlines, and manage workload independently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment across different cultures and time zones.
Preferred:
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
  • Experience working in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERPs, or WMSs preferred.
Top Three Skills:
  • Strong initiative and self-motivation, ability to thrive in a team environment, ensuring reliability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, meet deadlines, and manage workload independently.
