Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00
Shift: 1st shift 

What's a typical day as a Welder? You'll be:

  • Perform welding tasks using various techniques and materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Ability to pass AWS D1.1 welding qualifications as well as AWS D14.6 if it applies to their shop Read and understand weld detail drawings, welding procedures, and shop travelers.
  • Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Look for Safety Issues with equipment and processes
  • Understand the Principles of Lean Manufacturing the 5S System should be followed in work areas.
  • Participate in improvement projects Learn best practices from team leaders and other team members to improve your knowledge and skill levels.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3 years of welding experience.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Flux Core is required for this position.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • A can do attitude and a willingness and desire to learn to build your skills as a welder.
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds on all fabricated components.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to be fit tested and wear a respirator.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication.
  • Skills and Knowledge Sense of initiative and proactivity Willingness to learn and cross-train in other departments. 
  • Ability to accept feedback and adapt to change Originality and resourcefulness when setting out solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
