We are looking to hire
a key member of our Finance operations team
for a permanent, full-time Plant Finance Manager position at our Oulu location. The employment relationship will start by contract during spring 2025. It is based on flexible working hours and it comply Collective Agreement for the Senior Salaries Employees in Chemical Industry.
The Plant Finance Manager is the financial business partner to plant and regional management. In addition the Plant Finance Manager performs internal control functions locally or offsite. The Plant Finance Manager is part of the local management team and works with the EU Shared Services Center (SSC) which performs some of the accounting functions for the plant. The Plant Finance Manager is the owner of the financial results relating to manufacturing and operational transactions at the site. The Plant Finance Manager is the financial liaison between plant, SSC, and other departments in the organization. In addition this position may serve as regional/plant lead for areas such as variance analysis, costing analysis, and consolidation and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for month end closing activities.
- Provides site analytics and reporting.
- Manage forecast and budget processes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial controls.
- Manages ad hoc analysis around fixed and variable cost targets.
- Partners with local site leadership team.
- Engage plant personnel toward operational excellence and continuous improvement via financial coaching
- Provides necessary support to other Finance functional groups.
- Preforms finance analysis and guidance related to capital and strategic projects.
- Participates in any necessary assessments related to contract negotiations.
- Support local HR and IT functions as needed

- 5+ years of relevant work experience in business reporting or operational controlling preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as with the plant team to meet expected deadlines and goals in a global multicultural environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft software (MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) combined with experience in SAP.
- Ability to perform financial and production costing analytics related to the financial results and forecasts.
- Understanding of financial accounting principles and standards.
- Fluent Finnish and English.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to impact and influence leadership's decision making process.
- University degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration, MBA, or equivalent.
