Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Program Financial Analyst to provide financial leadership and oversight for complex naval power and defense programs. This role partners closely with program management, engineering, and operations to ensure accurate financial planning, reporting, and execution across the program lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, government contracting experience, and the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level.
What You Will Do- Serve as the primary financial partner to Program Managers for assigned programs
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics
- Track program costs, labor, revenue, and margins; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions
- Support program planning activities including EACs, ETCs, and long-range forecasts
- Prepare and present financial reports to program leadership and senior management
- Ensure compliance with government contracting requirements, including cost accounting standards and internal controls
- Support contract financial requirements such as funding profiles, billing, and audits
- Assist with proposal development, pricing, and financial risk assessments
- Drive continuous improvement in program financial processes and reporting tools
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in a defense, aerospace, or manufacturing environment
- Strong experience supporting programs or projects with complex cost structures
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Proven ability to analyze large data sets and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with government contracting and DoD programs
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts
- Experience supporting long-term, multi-year programs
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related compliance requirements
