Job Summary

We are growing our team and adding a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to our busy Finance Team.  If you are very detail oriented and have extensive experience in Accounts Payables, feel free to apply today.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of moderately complex accounting tasks; may also take a lead position, responsible for providing direction to lower-level accounting clerks
  • The lead may provide input but is not responsible for signing time sheets, performance appraisals, hiring or terminations 
  • May schedule and coordinate daily work schedules, distribute and verify work, train accounting clerks in procedures and solves operational problems
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
  • Prepare bills and invoices for payment
  • Prepare checks for signature 
  • Maintain vendor files and communicate status of payments as required 
  • Identify, investigate, and follow up on billing discrepancies 
  • Enter data into accounting system and prepare reports
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent training with 4+ years of directly related experience
  • A clear understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures is required

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

The salary range for this position is ($24.94/hour-$32.42).  This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
