Our Advisors & Consulting Services group blends management consulting with Mastercard's unmatched data assets, platforms, and technology to give clients insights and strategies that move the needle. From banks and fintechs to global retailers and restaurants, we help some of the world's most recognized brands thrive in a rapidly evolving market.
We're looking for a commercially minded data leader to build on a world-class analytics team—someone who can turn Mastercard's treasure trove of data into measurable business impact for our clients specifically in Northern Europe while working also internationally in our Mastercard Advisors Services organization.
Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard's rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.
The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Performance Analytics consultants translate data into insights by leveraging Mastercard and customer data to design, implement, and scale analytical solutions for customers. They use qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques and enterprise applications to synthesize analyses into clear recommendations and impactful narratives.

Roles and Responsibilities
Client Impact
• Lead client engagements across industries, focusing on unlocking commercial value and driving strategic growth.
• Develop and implement analytics-driven strategies that support revenue generation, market expansion, and customer acquisition.
• Identify and scope new business opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and lead client pitches.
• Own key relationships with mid-level to senior client stakeholders, understanding their commercial objectives and aligning solutions to business needs.
Team Collaboration & Culture
• Lead teams to deliver creative insights and commercially impactful recommendations, while fostering professional growth.
• Provide analytical and project leadership, ensuring high-quality delivery and a collaborative, inclusive team environment.
• Partner with internal Mastercard teams - including Product, Sales, and Business Development - to co-create client solutions and support go-to-market initiatives.
• Mentor junior consultants, providing guidance on both analytical techniques and commercial strategy development.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree with experience in business intelligence, analytics, or commercial strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, including proposal creation and client engagement.
• Experience managing client relationships and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of business KPIs, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Effective communication skills in English and the local office language.
• Eligibility to work in the country of application and travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, PySpark).
• Proven track record in commercial strategy consulting or corporate business development.
• Industry expertise in financial services, retail, or digital commerce.
• Master's degree in business, Analytics, or related field (not required).
