Title and Summary

Director, Strategic Sales – Supplier Enablement & Commercial Card Acceptance Overview
The Director, Strategic Sales will lead enterprise supplier engagement to expand commercial card acceptance and unlock measurable working-capital value. This role is accountable for engaging large suppliers, articulating the financial and operational benefits of card acceptance, and driving opportunities from strategy through execution and volume realization. The role operates at the intersection of sales, payments strategy, analytics, and ecosystem partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
• Own strategic supplier relationships and lead direct engagement to enable and expand commercial card acceptance.
• Clearly articulate the value of card acceptance, including DSO acceleration, liquidity improvement, and cash-flow predictability.
• Manage a defined pipeline of supplier opportunities, with accountability for progression, forecasting, and volume outcomes.
• Partner with issuers and acquirers to align on supplier strategies, commercial structures, and enablement execution.
• Use data and analytics to prioritize suppliers, quantify opportunity size, and support value-based selling discussions.
• Influence senior finance, treasury, and commercial stakeholders within complex enterprise environments.
• Represent supplier enablement strategy in executive-level meetings, workshops, and negotiations.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sales, B2B payments, working-capital solutions, or enterprise financial services.
• Strong understanding of commercial card acceptance, payment economics, and supplier enablement dynamics.
• Proven ability to engage and influence large enterprise suppliers and senior decision-makers.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex sales pipelines with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into compelling financial narratives.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Pay Ranges

Remote - New York: $158,000 - $253,000 USD
