Overview
The Mastercard Red Team is looking for a Lead-level Red Team member with multiple years of experience leading and executing offensive security campaigns. This role is highly collaborative , involving continuous adversary simulation and security assurance against Mastercard's infrastructure, data, processes, and physical environments. The ideal candidate has several years of prior experience leading and executing red team offensive security operations and is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses a “thinking out of the box” mindset. The individual in this role will be responsible for simulating real-word cyber and physical attacks in coordination with the Red Team to help mature security operations as well as help identify security best practices.
Role
• Helps lead and execute advanced adversary simulation activities
• Collaborates with team members to deliver high-impact red team engagements
• Documents and presents findings to various stakeholders across different leadership levels and departments
• Drives red team maturity initiatives in alignment with strategic direction
• Identifies and documents security best practices and areas for improvement
• Develops and enhance red team capabilities, including tools, techniques, and procedures
• Conducts phishing and other social engineering campaigns
• Supports red team infrastructure management
• Provides offensive security expertise to internal teams
• Stays current with emerging attack methodologies and threat actor tactics
All About You
• Extensive knowledge of cyber security principles, techniques, and tools
• Multi-year operational offensive cyber security experience in red teaming
• Extensive knowledge and operational experience with common offensive security tools, C2 frameworks, TTPs, and exploitation techniques
• Skilled in presenting complex data to technical and non-technical audiences effectively narrates campaign scenarios, outcomes, remediation recommendation, and impact assessment
• Advanced knowledge and experience in endpoint and monitoring controls evasion
• Proficient in scripting and coding across multiple programming languages
• Experience operating in cloud environments
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Extensive understanding of operating systems, common software, network protocols and architecture
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
