Title and Summary

Manager, Accounting Overview
The role of Manager within the SEC Reporting Group requires the individual to perform procedures critical to ensuring Mastercard's financial statements are accurate and complete. Certain skill sets are required for the role, including exercising accounting judgment and professional skepticism as well as an understanding and appreciation of the importance of controls.

Role
Responsibilities will include:
• Preparation and analysis of the quarterly statement of cash flows
• Support the preparation and filing of periodic SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), ensuring timely and accurate reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations
• Preparation and review of financial reports for senior management and board presentations
• Work closely with investor relations, legal and finance
• Help to ensure consistency and clarity in financial communications
• Coordinate major reporting dates and help maintain the financial reporting calendar
• Focus on automation solutions and streamlining manual processes
• Monitor changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards and implement changes as necessary to reporting processes and/ or disclosures
• Coordinate and review the annual proxy statement and validate all related financial support
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting, special projects and queries
• Assist internal and external auditors for SOX testing and compliance
• Maintain a strong internal control environment

All About You
Education & Licenses:
• BS or MS in Accounting required
• CPA (completed or in progress) required
Skills/ Experience Preferred:
• Public accounting background
• Experience in financial reporting and accounting
• The ideal candidate is fast-paced, highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented who demonstrates the sense of urgency and business acumen to deliver results within a global, growing and profitable business
• Ability to work independently and in groups to complete time-sensitive projects with internal and external deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
