Title and Summary

Manager, Consumer Payments Product Management Team and Role Overview

The Manager, Consumer Payments will play a key role in Mastercard's Consumer Product team, responsible for driving consumer products from initial concept through development, implementation, and scaling with our partners.
This dynamic role spans strategy setting, business case development, product design, customer engagement, analysis, and reporting. You'll be accountable for delivering new and existing consumer product propositions that drive transaction volume, profitable revenue growth, and differentiated value for customers and consumers alike.

Success in this role will require a combination of independent leadership, innovative thinking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders—including issuers, merchants, strategic partners, and fintechs.

Role Responsibilities

• Shape product strategy by conducting benchmarking, competitive analysis, and research; recommend best practices and build profitability models and business cases.
• Execute the strategy through structured product development processes and direct collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner across functions including Product Delivery, Implementation, Loyalty, Legal, Marketing, and Compliance to deliver solutions and support go-to-market activities.
• Collaborate with Account and Sales teams to craft compelling customer pitches and deliver client presentations.
• Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends, adjusting strategies and execution plans accordingly.
• Support Account Managers with analytical insights and plans to optimize cost management and drive issuer-level revenue growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and customers to deliver on business objectives.
• Manage and support the lifecycle of existing partnerships and consumer benefits programs.

All About You

You are an entrepreneurial, results-oriented professional with a passion for delivering superior customer experiences. You bring:
• A strong interest in payments, banking, financial services, and e-commerce.
• A solid understanding of industry trends and competitive offerings.
• Experience with debit and credit card programs; experience in issuing is a strong advantage.
• Exposure to or experience working with fintechs, particularly in payments, is preferred.
• Strong analytical and product development skills, with a proven track record of delivery.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to create solutions that meet real consumer needs; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• A growth mindset—eager to learn, develop, and contribute to a high-performing team.
• Strategic thinking combined with excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
