Title and Summary
Manager, Finance Business Partner OverviewThis role is a key member of the Asia Pacific Finance Team supporting the Corp Development - Minority Investments and Strategic Growth Initiatives in the region. APAC is one of Mastercard's high growth regions with a key strategic focus and priority for driving preference and delivering on long-term strategy. This is an opportunity to work cross-functionally with regional and global teams including all Key Stakeholders of APAC leadership team for eg. Regional CFO, Regional / Divisional Presidents, Product, Sales organization of Key accounts, DFO's of various BU's.
The Role
As an ideal candidate, you should be someone who is proficient at managing multiple tasks and be able to prioritize with teams to ensure work is done in a timely manner. You will develop a sound understanding of the Mastercard business across all key areas of Revenue, Expense, Product, etc. and be able to utilize that knowledge into making well-thought out and sound recommendations acting as able Business Partner to Key stakeholders.
This is a project driven role and daily work effort will be based on ongoing projects.
Key responsibilities
• Support the Corp Development/Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) linked financial processes end to end through the analysis of variances business cases, follow through on contracting and setting up processes to be able to track actuals against business case.
• Assist in Implementing and maintaining processes to ensure effective and timely generation of investment level revenue forecasts and budgets.
• P&L Management: Gain an understanding of the full P&L for the investments, inclusive of all revenue and expense line items, to provide a holistic view of the business and support respective accounts to operate within the defined budgets and raise red flags as and when required.
• Perform analysis to support in strategic activities within the investments
• Assist on financial process improvements by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modeling
• Help out in quarterly/half yearly reviews of the investment portfolio in the region
• Apply good strategic understanding of multi-dimensional business dynamics of the regional markets and competitive forces at play in driving creative responses and formulating mitigating strategies.
• Support continuous reviews of existing processes to assess operational efficiency and development and implementation of process improvements to ensure that processes meet the present and anticipated needs of internal customers, members, and other stakeholders
• In-depth understanding of all the commercial drivers impacting MasterCard's business (current and emerging product lines, services and programs)
Communication & Impact & Influence
• Influences and negotiates with the respective Business and Finance teams who may have divergent objectives in relation to their respective business case. This involves challenging the assumptions to direct and shape the build of a business case
• Ensures that Finance is closely integrated with, and positively supports the business providing managers at all levels with the necessary information to make good business decisions

• Leadership presence and credibility with various levels of management
• Comfortable with occasional ambiguity but able to make calculated decisions
• Advanced PC, modeling and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative)
• Possesses a natural collaborative style, and is able to work effectively and efficiently across the multiple areas and levels of the Mastercard organization
• Self-motivated while operating within a team environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related discipline, MBA / CA Preferred (preferably in Finance/Strategy/General Management), CPA/CFA a plus
• Specialized knowledge in management reporting.
• Analytical and strategic. Have key insights across market opportunities.
• Broad based commercial awareness to manage risk versus return trade-offs.
