Title and Summary
Manager, People Business Partner OverviewMastercard is hiring a People Business Partner to support its British Columbia based employees as well as other remote employees across Canada. The role will be based in the Vancouver office and will partner with several leaders and business unites on all People and Capability matters.
Role
•Providing singular local HR support for the Mastercard employees in Vancouver and British Columbia
•Integral role on the Mastercard Canada HR team of four with national responsibilities as needed, part of a team that spans Canada and the Americas
•Responsible for the management and delivery of HR programs, including talent and performance management, year-end compensation planning, employee engagement and workforce planning
• Coaches and supports local people leaders and employees on development, employee relations, compensation and people processes/policy
• Shares local intelligence and provides a “field perspective” on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
• Works with COEs to ensure programs, processes and initiatives are successfully implemented and managed
•Resourceful data analyst, able to compile and analyze data from multiple sources, to draw meaningful insights and actions
• Serves as subject matter expert on the local labor market and regulatory environment
• Supports community engagement efforts in Vancouver office

• Demonstrated success when consulting with leaders and other stakeholders on HR issues

• Understands key business drivers and uses the understanding to deliver own work
