Manager, Product Management – Technical (Agentic Commerce) Job Description Summary
The Manager, Product Management – Technical (Agentic Commerce) will lead Mastercard's efforts to define and scale agentic commerce solutions globally. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic product leadership to deliver Mastercard's flagship agentic commerce product suite, including Mastercard Agent Pay, from concept through market launch and adoption.
Overview
• Own the technical vision and roadmap for agentic commerce products and features, enabling secure, seamless digital payments leveraging AI-driven experiences across devices, contexts, and geographies.
• Decompose business requirements and customer experiences into technical features and platform capabilities using agile methodologies and the Working Backwards approach.
• Collaborate with engineering, UX, technical program managers, and external partners to define technical requirements and ensure delivery of scalable, fault-tolerant solutions.
• Act as the voice of the business and technical customer, accountable for platform services and product performance.
Responsibilities
• Set Vision & Strategy: Define the technical strategy for agentic commerce products and features, ensuring alignment with Mastercard's broader platform architecture and business objectives.
• Lead Global Execution: Drive development, pilot, go-to-market, and scaling of agentic commerce solutions across multiple regions. Serve as the global point of contact for technical coordination.
• Technical Leadership: Partner with engineering teams to design and deliver secure, real-time, distributed systems leveraging cloud technologies, APIs, and microservices.
• Risk Management: Identify short- and medium-term risks to product development and adoption; propose and implement mitigation strategies.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously track product performance, operational metrics, and customer feedback; incorporate insights into future roadmap iterations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with AI firms, agentic providers, issuers, wallets, merchants, and PSPs to capture technical requirements and market opportunities.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Use analytics and experimentation to validate assumptions, optimize features, and inform roadmap prioritization.
• Team Development: Provide coaching and mentorship to technical product managers; foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• External Representation: Represent Mastercard in strategic discussions with partners and industry forums on agentic commerce and AI-driven payment technologies.

Experiences
• Proven ability to deliver complex technical products in high-growth, rapidly evolving environments.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies, agentic frameworks, and their application in commerce.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS), API design, microservices, and distributed systems in a DevOps model.
• Experience with agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), CI/CD, and modern software development practices (XP, TDD, BDD).
• Strong knowledge of digital payments, tokenization, authentication, and security protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Track record of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to executive leadership and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced technical or business degree preferred.
