Title and Summary

Security Logging & Monitoring Compliance Analyst Overview
The Security Event Management Compliance (SEMC) team is looking for a Security Logging Compliance Specialist to support Mastercard's Controls Monitoring Portal (CMP) and Security Logging Resiliency (SLR) initiatives. This role ensures enterprise systems adhere to PCI logging standards and Mastercard's Security Logging & Monitoring Technical Standard by coordinating the onboarding of technical assets into CMP, managing Security Monitoring Template (SMT) submissions, and driving remediation of logging gaps identified in Splunk audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and thrives in a cross-functional environment.

Role
In this role, you will:
• Analyze and document logging and monitoring control gaps, operational issues, and remediation recommendations.
• Maintain governance artifacts, trackers, dashboards, and evidence in tools such as Splunk, SharePoint, and Fusion.
• Perform alert lifecycle management, including hygiene reviews, naming standards, disabled alerts, and inactive correlation rule analysis.
• Monitor Splunk alerting and data ingestion health, including indexes not reporting within defined thresholds.
• Investigate logging failures and ingestion issues, supporting escalation and recovery efforts as needed.
• Create and manage logging‑related Work Orders and Incidents in Remedy, validating impact and restoration.
• Prepare monthly reports, PCI dashboards, and audit‑ready evidence; support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with SOC, engineering, and application teams to resolve issues and improve logging and monitoring processes. ________________________________________

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Hands‑on experience with Splunk or similar SIEM platforms (alerts, dashboards, correlation rules, ingestion).
• Strong knowledge of logging and monitoring controls, governance, and audit requirements (e.g., PCI).
• Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and validate remediation effectiveness.
• Experience with incident, change, or work order management using Remedy or comparable ITSM tools.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills in a regulated environment.
