About the Role
The DevFlow team in the Mastercard Software Builders Experience program is leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard by developing automation tooling and driving standards throughout the development, quality, release, and product organizations. Our team members have an appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be done with automation.
This team is seeking an experienced professional who can solve complex problems, build our CI/CD pipelines and lead Mastercard in DevOps automation and best practices. We are responsible for automation standards with Mastercard, maintaining industry standard tools such as Chef, Jenkins, and Ansible, and working closely with other departments supporting GitHub, Sonar, Artifactory, Terraform, and more.

Role
Mastercard is seeking a senior engineer with experience administering industry standard CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Git/BitBucket, and Artifactory. This person will design and implement an effective and efficient CI/CD flow that gets code from dev to prod with high quality and minimal manual effort required.
• Design, implement, and enhance our deployment automation based on Chef (Infra, Habitat)
• Use Jenkins to orchestrate and build CI/CD pipelines to link with Sonar, Chef, Maven, Artifactory, etc.,
• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Practice sustainable incident responses and blameless postmortems.
• Take a holistic approach to problem solving, by connecting the dots during a production event thru the various technology stack that makes up the platform, to optimize mean time to recover
• Work with a global teams spread across tech hubs in multiple geographies and time zones
All About You
• Proven experience administrating Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Action platforms
• Experience supporting applications in one or more of the following languages are preferred: Java, Python, Go, Groovy, Perl or Ruby
• Strong skills designing, implementing, and enhancing deployment automations based on tools such as Chef (Infra, Habitat)
• Experience in administering Cloudbees or opensource Jenkins, preferred
• Experience using Kubernetes to automate deployment and scale the management capabilities of our containerized applications
• Strong communication skills with experience managing difficult situations and making timely decisions
