Senior Software Engineer OverviewThe US Open Banking team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to architect and build the future of financial data accessibility. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting elegant, scalable solutions, thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a deep understanding of API development and security best practices, and is excited to push the boundaries of what's possible in open banking.
In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable APIs that empower users to access and utilize financial data.
Contribute to the architectural design of our open banking platform, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and evolving standards.
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in API development, security, and open banking technologies.

Essential:
Possess advanced knowledge of API design principles and best practices.
Have strong experience developing and deploying secure RESTful APIs using Java.
Demonstrate proficiency in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling techniques.
Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Be passionate about open banking principles and the transformative potential of financial data sharing.
Desirable:
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience working with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect for secure API authentication.
Knowledge of financial industry standards and regulations.
Contribution to open-source projects or participation in the developer community.
