Title and Summary

Treasury Operations Manager Overview
The Corporate Treasury team performs all global treasury activities for Mastercard, including capital planning analysis, rating agency relationships, foreign exchange risk management and trading, cash management, cash positioning, global funding & liquidity management, pensions asset-liability management, and various capital markets transactions (debt issuances, equity share buy-back) including credit facility management.

Role
The Treasury Operations Manager in Purchase leads the execution of global cash operations and serves as the primary escalation and coordination point for all daily liquidity activities. Managing operations across two locations—Purchase, NY, and Bogotá, Colombia—this role ensures accurate and timely processing of cash positioning, funding execution, and operational controls. The manager drives process consistency and documentation, coordinates with internal teams and banking partners to resolve issues and maintains smooth operations. The role also champions technology adoption and operational readiness for new treasury systems.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Cash and Liquidity Execution
• Oversee daily cash positioning and liquidity operations for core liquidity centers and other strategic entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of funding requirements, including payroll and intercompany transfers.
• Monitor global cash balances and escalate issues promptly to avoid operational disruptions.

Process Standardization and Documentation
• Develop and maintain detailed procedures for cash operations and funding activities.
• Ensure all processes are documented, controlled, and audit ready.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.

Governance & Compliance
• Enforce adherence to internal policies, SOX controls, and regulatory requirements for cash operations.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and support internal and external audits.

Team Leadership and Issue Escalation
• Manage a team of four across two locations, providing guidance, workload prioritization, and performance oversight.
• Act as the escalation point for operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the cash operations team.

Stakeholder and Bank Coordination
• Serve as the central contact for cash execution matters across Treasury, Controllership, and regional finance teams.
• Coordinate with banking partners to ensure smooth transaction processing and resolve operational issues.
• Provide timely updates and reporting on cash operations to internal stakeholders.

Technology Adoption and Implementation
• Coordinate team participation in testing and implementation of the Treasury Management System (TMS) and related technologies.
• Ensure operational readiness for new tools by validating processes and training team members.
• Act as the liaison between the TMS Implementation Manager, technology teams, and cash operations to support successful deployment and adoption.

About You
• Deep understanding of global treasury operations, intercompany funding, and repatriation strategies.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills; highly proficient in Excel and treasury systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to coordinate across Controllership, Tax, Legal, and business units.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Experience with cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and intercompany loan execution.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
• Prior treasury or financial operations experience required. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

Purchase, New York: $137,000 - $218,000 USD
